ARMED AND DANGEROUS!!!!!

ayt, for sooooooooo long now i've been wanting to get one of the newer canon camera's that shot in 24p and had 60p capabilities as well, (for those cool lookin' slow mo shots that make people look cooler than they really are, BAAHAHAHA).
i've had the 500D for a while and was happy when i got it but was disappointed when a couple months later canon came out with the newer cameras that had all the cooler and better features, because the 500D only had 30P shooting mode and was very limited.. so for months i've been salivating (sorry, but that's really the only appropriate word, HAHA) over all the different cameras that have been coming out..

AND NOW I FINALLY GOT ONE!!!!!!!! the Canon 60D! it's got a ton of cool features, i especially like the swiveling screen, since most of the time when micah and i make covers there's not a third person around so it helps when you can see what you doing and make sure your in focus and whatnot..
so now i'm so excited to start editing again and making some more videos.. we're hoping to do more than just covers though, depends if we can think of anything cool to do, since we now have to ability to do that cool 24p film look.. so yeah, if anyone out there is looking for a dslr camera to start learning with or just to shoot some cool youtube videos, the 60D's pretty rad. i might upgrade to the 7D and or a 5D MarkII or something, but for now this was what i could afford, and was really more after the video quality and features, and from what i've seen and read so far, the video quality pretty much all the same across all those cameras, just the photo quality differs.. so yea, i'm so freakin' excited and  i can't wait to see what we come up with and what ya'll think..

My Encounter With an Angel...

I don't remember how young i was at the time, i guessing i was like 10 or something. we were headed to New Mexico to go visit family. my dad's visa had expired so he had to stay behind in the philippines. now we didn't have a ton of money so mom always looked for the cheapest plane tickets.. well, she found the cheapest ones and for some reason when you get cheap plane tickets you get like a ton a layovers.. so usually we go from philppines to tokyo, tokyo to L.A., LA to PHX, and PHX to NewMexico. but for some reason this time from PHX we had to go fly to Dallas and we NEVER flew to the dallas airport. so here's my mom with 3 little kids and a hand full of luggage and she's a little nervous cuz like i said, we NEVER flew into this airport before. so as we get off the plane this black guy comes up to us and asks us if we needed help. he was obviously someone who worked at the airport and he was there to assist people like my mom with a hand full of children. HAHA.. he was one of the coolest dudes ever! i'll never forget him. he was from Samaria and he had the coolest accent!he led us around the airport and i even remember he put on of us (i think it was my sister, who's the youngest) on his back while he was pushing all our luggage. what my mom thought was gonna be a nightmare turned out to be a really cool experience.

then i think we found out that we had a couple hours to spare before our plane left, so he told my mom that there was a place where we could play while we waited for the next flight. when we got to the little playground they had at the airport there was this lady (who now that i think about it probably was the devil! ahahaha). she was so mean to my mom and our "good samaritan" for some reason. she wouldn't allow us to go in. my mom gave up and said it wasn't a big deal and that we would just wait at the terminal but the samaritan dude insisted that we waited in the playground area. but this lady was just so darn hard headed.. she didn't give in so i think we just went and did something else.

but i'll never forget that dude! he was definitely a Good Samaritan. out of all the people getting off the plane with children and all the people passing through that gigantic airport he was right there waiting for us as we got off the plane. you might think i'm stupid or crazy but i really do believe that he was an angel. one thing i'll remember was that he was always smiling and laughing and making us laugh. we were in that airport for a couple hours but time seemed to pass by so fast.
God truly does work in mysterious ways..

how bout you? was there ever a time that you felt like you had seen or met or talked to an angel? other than the time you met your girlfriend or boy friend or spouse! HAHAHAHA

Billionaire!!!

don't we all wanna be billionaires! i wish i was a billionaire so i could make like the coolest recording studios ever! have a big production studio with all the best equipment. make a "hang out" place for musicians, actors, and videographers and whatnot to just hang out and collaborate on stuff and stick awesome stuff up on youtube, just for fun.. then build orphanages (or as we would like to call it "Ranch") all around the philippines to feed, educate and train children to become good citizens.. for now all of that is pretty much a dream, but who know? anything is possible! so we'll just sing about it for now...

musical influences

Ayt.. so whenever i get asked who my musical influences have been over the years it's always hard to answer cuz i have alot.. but growing up i mainly listened to christian artists and only started listening to mainstream artists the past couple of years.. the one reason it's hard to explain who my musical influences are is mainly cuz most people, or musicians that i meet, can't really relate cuz they don't know who they are..

Carman was one of my first favorite artists.. i listened to almost all of his music before, back when everything was still on cassette tapes.. i wore out those cassette tapes!! HAHA but i loved his music cuz he did alot of different genres. and when you listen to his "greatest hits" album, it's almost like you were listening to 4 or 5 different artists cuz his music was all different.. and when it comes to my music that's what i try to do is write in different genres and styles.. i know for some it's hard to imagine cuz i don't really have any music out in public yet, but when i do get the opportunity you'll be able to see what i'm talking about.. the one thing i wanna do someday is make and album that has a couple different genres on it. i know people say that producers and whatnot would never allow that, but hey, yah never know.. if i'm my own producer someday i could do whatever the heck i want! HAHAHA

NOW! Trevor McNevan! when i was about 12 or 13 i started getting into the more hard core rock music like Kutless, Skillet, Falling Up, and Thousand Foot Krutch.. i had a band back then and we played most of these band's music. but my fav has always been TFK. my dream was to have a rock band someday, but then music suddenly shifted to all the dance music that you hear nowadays (which is starting to get really old now cuz all of the "big hits" are starting to sound the same and they pretty much sing about all the same things) but i'm hoping that it'll soon shift back to when bands, and or when real music dominated the charts. they say music pretty much goes in cycles, like any other fad, so i'm hoping that it'll come back SOON!
But yeah, when it comes to my songwriting and the music that i really like to play and sing, trevor is my biggest influence! every album that he comes up with is always different than the last, whether it's a small difference in the overall sound of the album as a whole or a slightly different style, i'm always impressed with every album..

most of Carmans music is mainly for the christian market, and while trevor is also a christian artist and signed with a christian label, his music is something that you could hear on the mainstream charts. in fact, here in the philippines, his two songs "tonight" and "moment of truth", are played pretty much everywhere, and it always puts a smile on my face when i hear it being played on the radio here..
i just heard FM Static's newest album and it's just awesome! simply amazing!
i really can't put into words how awesome trevor is. i don't usually get "star struck",but if ever met him i'm pretty sure i would be.

Simpleng Tao (simple guy)

so i'm just a simple guy. most people have certain topics that they like to write about like food, religion, technology, the latest gossip and whatnot. well, i don't like to stick to one topic cuz for me that would be boring. sort of like the music i write, if i stuck to one genre i would get bored really fast then everything that i write would sound the same, although i really don't have any proof of that at the moment. hopefully  though you'll be able to hear what i'm talking about..

as i said, i'm a simple guy, my music is simple, i write simple. i don't use complex words when i write, mainly cuz i don't know alot of complex words. HAHA i'm no brainiac! even though sometimes i wish i were. my mind cannot comprehend complex things, like numbers! (yeah yeah, i know some of you are like "numbers aren't complex" but for me they are!) haha i'm horrible at math!
i'm just a simple dude, that wishes sometimes i was a nerd so that i could come up with something that's like better than facebook and become the next billionaire. cuz i'd like to be one so freakin bad! HAHA heck i don't even make the first word of my sentences capital as you can see cuz i'm too lazy to press the shift button! (except for when i have to use the exclamation point) ☺

so basically this blog will just be about random things, music, life, gadgets, and whatever else i feel like writing about.. but i guess sometimes i'll post video blogs as well for all the people that are lazy readers ,like myself, but i'm really trying to become a reader even though it kills me sometimes! HAHA

so here's a video from where i got the title for this post.. hope yah like it! BOOYAH!
